Project Description

The Somali Resilience Program (SomReP) Phase 3 aims to enhance the livelihoods of vulnerable pastoral groups in Somalia. This project focuses on building resilience through inclusive livelihood strategies, addressing the unique challenges faced by pastoral communities. The program is designed to improve food security, increase income opportunities, and strengthen the capacity of these communities to withstand environmental and economic shocks. The project involves a consortium of organizations, including World Vision Deutschland, Action Against Hunger-USA, ADRA Somalia, CARE International in Somalia, Danish Refugee Council, Oxfam Novib, Shaqodoon Organization, and World Vision International in Somalia. Together, they will implement activities that promote sustainable agricultural practices, provide vocational training, and support market access for pastoral products. The project also emphasizes the importance of community involvement and capacity building to ensure long-term sustainability and impact.

Project Objectives

Improve Food Security: Enhance food security for vulnerable pastoral groups through sustainable agricultural practices.
Increase Income Opportunities: Provide vocational training and support market access to increase income opportunities for pastoral communities.
Build Community Resilience: Strengthen the capacity of pastoral communities to withstand environmental and economic shocks.
