Target Group
39,036 learners (20,298 female; 18,738 male) in 27 primary schools; accelerated education/alternative learning programs and Training and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) centres including IDPs; children living with disability; out of school children; married girls/young mothers; children associated with armed forces and groups; and conflict/drought affected and nomadic children.

Project Outcome
Inclusive education and TVET systems attract, include and respond to all learners regardless of background ability or gender;
Inclusive schools and TVET institutions are safe, protective and healthy for all learners;
Effective school and TVET institutions promote quality teaching and learning outcomes to all learners regardless of background, ability or gender;
Schools and TVET institutions enable and engage participation of learners, parents, communities and relevant stakeholders in partnership to provide effective and inclusive learning environment;
Effective civil society organisations and networks influence quality and inclusive education policies, practices, plans and budgets.
Project Approach
Learners in target states will access, engage and learn in inclusive primary education and TVET centres. SEAQE2 will develop education pathways for marginalised children including out of school children (OOSC), children with disability (CWD), minority clans and internally displaced persons (IDPs). The learner-focused approach, concentrating on quality, equity, inclusion, protection, participation and conflict-sensitivity, will result in improved wellbeing; economic opportunities; capacity of civil society and government; strengthened learning environments and education systems.
SEAQE2 approach is holistic and learner-focused, providing inclusive, protective education; participation of students, parents and community; education institution improvement; and systems reform. This will impact the children’s well being, learning and build capacity for quality, inclusive and protective education. Conflict-sensitivity, gender, inclusion, child protection and resilience will cut across the project.
