Background & Profile

The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) is a global humanitarian organization with a mission to work with people in poverty and distress to create just and positive change. ADRA Somalia belongs to the worldwide ADRA network, which comprises more than 120 supporting and implementing country offices.

ADRA’s five core global sectors include Food Security, Health, Economic Growth, Education, and Emergency Management. Globally and within the regional context, ADRA Somalia has developed extensive expertise in these sectors and various subsectors, specifically in institutional development, food security, livelihoods and resilience, renewable energy, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), education, and emergency relief.


Purpose of the Call

ADRA Somalia invites qualified and experienced individual sectoral experts, subject matter specialists, and consulting firms with deep contextual knowledge across Somalia to submit applications for pre-qualification. Pre-qualified individuals and firms will join our vetted expert database and be considered for shortlisting for consultancy opportunities and advisory assignments during the 2026–2027 period.

We are seeking consultants who apply evidence-driven, inclusive, and client-focused approaches, supported by strong analytical capacity and flexible delivery models. Applications are open for specialists across the following categorized domains:

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Minimum of a graduate degree in a relevant field from a recognized university.

  • Experience: Proven professional experience in the specified area of expertise, including a strong working knowledge of the Somalia context.

  • Competencies: Ability to deploy responsive, evidence-driven, and inclusive models that drive operational excellence and measurable impact.


Eligibility & Submission Requirements

Interested individual consultants and firms must submit a comprehensive application package containing:

  1. Cover Letter: Explicitly stating your chosen sector(s) and specific areas of expertise.

  2. Detailed CV: Maximum of four (4) pages highlighting relevant assignments.

  3. Certificates: Copies of valid academic and professional qualifications.

  4. Company Documents (Firms Only): Copies of Company Registration and a valid Tax Compliance Certificate.

  5. Proof of Track Record: Evidence of past assignments (3–5 case examples with verifiable client references where available).

  6. Professional Credentials (Optional): Relevant professional affiliations or certifications (preferred).
