Adra Somalia is seeking a dynamic and experienced consultant to lead a transformative capacity-building initiative for Community Education Committees (CECs) and school management across Jubbaland, Southwest, Hirshabelle, Galmudug and Banadir.
About the Project:
This consultancy aims to equip CECs and school management with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to drive sustainable improvements in their local education systems. The training will focus on:
- Community Participation in Education: Strengthening CECs’ role in school governance, encouraging parental engagement, and fostering collaboration among education stakeholders.
- Community Resource Mobilization: Developing strategies for resource mobilization, identifying funding sources, and enhancing financial management skills.
- Cross-Cutting Issues: Addressing gender equality, child protection, climate change, health, and conflict resolution within the education context.
Scope of Work:
The consultant will:
- Adapt sustainability plan templates for schools.
- Develop training and reference materials.
- Conduct training sessions for CECs and school management in 51 schools.
- Prepare a comprehensive consultancy and training report.
- Develop a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) plan and tools.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in Education, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Proven experience in curriculum development and training facilitation.
- Expertise in gender-sensitive programming and child-centered approaches.
- Deep understanding of the Somali context and education challenges.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Timeline:
The consultancy will take place in February/March 2025.
