ADRA Somalia representatives and delegates from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Higher Education (MoECHE), MP’s and Ministers visited Garbaharey district, Gedo region on 16th August, to lay the foundation stone for the construction of a primary school under the Strengthening Equity, Access, and Quality in Education Somalia (SEAQE II) project. The school is one of the six new schools that will be constructed by ADRA Somalia through the project across the federal member states.

The Minister for MoECHE, Honourable Abdullahi Godah highlighted the importance of having a primary school in Garabaharey and thanked NORAD for enabling and funding this project. He also congratulated ADRA for effecting the construction of the school and urged the organization to speed up and complete the construction of the school, so that many children can have access to education.

The Minister along with the MP’s, also visited Beled Hawo District where they laid a foundation stone for Khalid Primary and Secondary school, that will be constructed by ADRA under the Strengthening Education and Training in Somalia (SETS) project.
